In this tutorial we can see how to adjust the handbrake in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First of all, we park the vehicle on a flat surface with the first gear engaged, then we remove the central tunnel by unscrewing the relevant fixing screws with a Torx T20 key. We then locate the adjustment nut, screw it in using a 10mm wrench, and reach the optimal tension level. Finally, we test the new adjustment on a suitable road, taking all necessary safety measures.
