How to use the parking brake of the Volkswagen Golf 7

Today we will explain how to use the automatic parking brake of the 2012 Volkswagen Golf 7 to prevent the vehicle from moving and make hill starts much easier. The system activates as soon as you start the engine, with a green automatic hold indicator appearing on the central console, and deactivates when you stop the vehicle with your foot on the brake pedal. Despite the presence of the automatic brake, it is still possible to use the manual handbrake; pulling the brake will change the green icon to red to indicate that it is in use. To completely deactivate the system, simply press the off button on the central console.
