Where is and how to reach the fuse box of a Volkswagen Golf?

The fuse box of a Volkswagen Golf is located under the steering column, in a position easily accessible by the driver. To reach it, start by turning off the engine and make sure the vehicle is safely parked. Once seated in the driver's seat, look under the steering column, near the pedals, and you will notice a small plastic panel. This panel can be removed manually or, in some models, may require the use of a simple tool such as a screwdriver to release the clips holding it in place. Once the panel is removed, you will have direct access to the fuse box. Each fuse is identified by a number or color, and the legend to understand which component each fuse corresponds to is found in the car manual or inside the panel itself. If you need to replace a fuse, make sure to use a fuse of the same amperage to avoid electrical problems. After the replacement, put the panel back in place making sure it is securely fastened.
