Want to remove the thermostat from your car but don't know how to proceed? Watch the following video to learn how to remove the coolant thermostat on a Volkswagen Passat 140 HP: unscrew the bolts of the thermostat hose as shown in the video and (use a socket wrench with the appropriate sockets) pull out the sealing cap of the housing and extract the coolant thermostat. Insert the new part and close it with the hose cap. Tighten the bolts properly and you're done. Ensure that the valve is correctly inserted and mounted in the appropriate housing.
