Follow this guide to remove and replace the faulty thermostat on your Volkswagen Passat. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the fuel lines located at the top; then remove the coolant hose from the radiator, allowing the antifreeze to drain into a container. Next, unscrew the thermostat bolts and disconnect the electrical connector; remove the old thermostat and replace it with the new one, installing the original thermostat!
