In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the thermostat in the Volkswagen Passat, a simple operation but one that requires good manual skills. First of all, make sure that the engine is completely cold, then open the hood and remove both the intake manifold and the throttle body. Next, go under the vehicle, disconnect the radiator hose and drain all the coolant from the system. At this point, we can disconnect all the hoses connected to the thermostat, unscrew the respective fastening bolts, and proceed with the installation of the replacement.
