It may seem strange, but even the fuel tank cap of a car, in the long run, can create sealing problems and must be replaced, admitting that this eventuality is quite unusual. If forced to perform this work and if you want to do it yourself, here are some operational tips. We open the cap door in question, remove from it the cap, in sequence, first the push spring and then the fuel sealing ring placed inside it and finally unscrew the fixing screws. Before installing the new cap, we position the aforementioned spring, screw in the screws and the job is done.
