It is possible to completely reset the Climatronic system of the Volkswagen Multivan by activating the instrument panel, so that it is possible to operate the controls located on the central dashboard panel. Once the instrument panel has been activated, you will need to simultaneously press the ECON button and the one with the arrow icon pointing towards the passenger's face.
