How to reset the "Service" indicator on a Volkswagen Golf?

To reset the "Service" light on a Volkswagen Golf, start by turning on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Press and hold the button located under the instrument panel, usually next to the partial odometer. While holding down the button, turn the ignition key or press the start button to turn on the instrument panel. At this point, a notification should appear on the instrument panel display indicating the reset option. Release the button and press it again to confirm the operation. The "Service" light should turn off, indicating that the reset is complete.
