Fitting Frame Edge Seal

Model: Volkswagen Maggiolino MK 1 - Years 1938-1980

Before securing the seal along the perimeter of the frame, you need to shape the four strips that will be applied to the 4 sides.
It is recommended to prepare one strip at a time by positioning the seal along the side to be covered, marking with a marker the points where holes will be made (the smaller ones for the application of the securing rivets and the larger ones for the passage of the securing studs of the body) and determining the correct length by cutting the mating edge at 45°.
At this point, create the smaller holes with a punch plier and the larger ones with a drilling punch.
Carefully clean the edge of the bodywork and the back of the seal, apply the adhesive and then secure the seal by correctly aligning the holes; subsequently, apply the rivets for fastening.
