How do you replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat?

It is possible to replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat by lifting the car using a jack or a bridge, so that the right front wheel is not in contact with the ground: the wheel must be removed from its seat along with the corresponding inner fender. In this way, the belt tensioner pulley can be located, which must be removed by loosening the central nut: the tension of the belt will be reduced and it will be possible to remove it from its pulleys. Now you can proceed to install the new one, bringing it back to tension and checking that everything works.
