In this video, the YouTuber points out with understandable outrage that in the maintenance manual for Volkswagen cars, specifically a T-Roc, it is indicated as "normal" for the car to consume 1 liter of oil every 2,000 km under certain driving conditions. However, the truth is different: manuals sometimes tend to generalize, and oil consumption varies not only based on driving conditions, but also on the type of engine and usage conditions. Sporty driving, high speeds, and difficult driving conditions can also increase oil consumption, in addition to the engine conditions and oil quality. The manual's indication does not necessarily suggest that every car will consume that amount of oil: oil consumption should be monitored according to driving and usage conditions, and the consumption indicated in the manual is an extreme value.
