How do you replace the armrest of the Volkswagen Touran?

In order to replace the center armrest of the Volkswagen Touran, you will need to lift it up in order to leverage it with an object and detach the lower trim panel. Once this panel has been removed, you can then loosen the screws underneath that secure the armrest to the respective brackets that allow it to be lowered and raised. Once it has been freed from the screws, you can detach it from the brackets in order to insert the new replacement piece. This can now be secured by reinserting the lower panel.
