How do you replace the number plate bulbs on a Volkswagen Golf 7? Follow this video to replace the damaged bulb. Open the boot lid: use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws of the plastic light located in the rear tailgate above the car's number plate (if present). Once the transparent light cover is removed, extract the bulb from it. Fit the new bulb (same size and voltage) into the bulb holder, then reassemble the light in the tailgate panel. Test the correct operation of the previously fitted bulb.
