How do you reset the Service light on a Volkswagen New Beetle?

The Service light that appears on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen New Beetle can be completely reset by holding down the 0.0/SET button located on the right side of the instrument panel while it is turned off. While continuing to hold the button, you can insert the key into the ignition and turn it to switch on the instrument panel. At this point, you need to keep pressing the 0.0/SET button until the reset of the light is completed. Once the reset is finished, you can turn off the instrument panel by removing the key from the ignition.
