How do you reset the Service indicator light on the Volkswagen New Beetle?

It is possible to delete the Service indicator light of the Volkswagen New Beetle by turning on the instrument panel, inserting the appropriate key into the ignition switch: once the panel has been activated, it will be possible to navigate through the menu using the directional controls on the right side of the steering wheel. You will need to scroll through to select the "Service" option by pressing the OK button: at this point, you will need to choose the "Reset" option and then confirm the message that appears on the screen. At this point, you can turn off and turn on the instrument panel to verify the deletion.
