How to remove the gear shift knob of the Volkswagen Touran II.

In this video, we will see how to remove the gear shift boot - automatic - of a Volkswagen Touran II series: the video does not show how to take off the knob and the trim from its housing, but we will tell you: to remove the boot with the trim, simply leverage with a plastic spatula all around to release the clips that hold the trim in place. Lift it up and then pull firmly (but gently) on the knob until it comes off the shaft. Now that we have the knob and boot in hand, we can follow the video. Using the same spatula, we will remove the ring that holds the knob to the boot, and then push the clips that secure the boot from the inside. This way, we can remove the boot from the trim. Now, using a flathead screwdriver, we will remove the metal points that secure the boot to the support. We can find the leather boot, for example, on eBay with the code 202247592294 at a price of 19.99 euros + 6.00 euros for shipping.
