In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the DSG gear knob in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First, go inside the cabin, then pry off the top cover of the knob using a plastic spatula. Next, separate the base of the gaiter using the spatula, unlock the metal ring at the internal base of the knob, and unclip the pin by pulling the support towards the rear of the vehicle. At this point, simply grasp the knob, pull it upwards, and fit any replacement parts by following the reverse procedure.
