In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the DSG gear knob in the Volkswagen Golf MK7, a simple and quick operation. First, unclip the base of the gaiter by unlocking the two front clips, then separate the gaiter from the base, disconnect the connector, and using a small flat-head screwdriver, unlock the fastening clip of the knob. Next, unclip the small upper panel, release the internal mechanism, and separate the knob from the shaft. To install the replacement and reassemble everything, simply follow the reverse procedure.
