Operation: How to replace the DSG gear knob in Volkswagen Golf?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the DSG gear knob in the Volkswagen Golf MK7, a simple and fast operation. First of all, disengage the base of the headset by unlocking the two front clips, then separate the headset from the base itself, disconnect the connector and, using a small flat-headed screwdriver, release the knob fastening clamp. We then disengage the small upper panel, release the internal mechanism and separate the knob from the rod. To fit the spare part and put everything back together, simply follow the reverse procedure.
