In this brief video, see how to disassemble and replace the DSG gear knob (automatic gearbox) on the seventh generation Volkswagen Golf, as well as on the Passat B8 and Tiguan. First, get into the vehicle and remove the old gear knob; to do this, lever off the metal plate found centrally, as shown in the video. Once the cover is removed, you can lever off the sides to remove the two side covers; then insert and fit the two shells of the new knob perfectly, finally placing the aluminium cover!
