How to Access the Fuel Tank of a Volkswagen

The video demonstrates how the fuel flap opening system works on a Volkswagen Jetta (but the mechanism is similar across all modern Volkswagen models). The flap is connected to the central locking system. To open it, the car must be unlocked, then simply press on the side of the flap (usually the rear side) and it will spring open. To close it, just press until you hear a click. When locking the doors with the remote, the fuel flap also locks automatically, so if you leave the vehicle parked and locked, the flap is inaccessible.
