On the Volkswagen Caddy in the video, the wipers do not work, even though both the switch and the motor and control module have already been replaced. The problem at this point was broken wires internally, likely damaged by mechanical movement or incorrect routing of the cables. The repair involves restoring the broken wires and repositioning them correctly, away from moving mechanisms, and additionally protecting them with insulating tape. Then the wipers work: it was just a broken wire after months in the workshop and unnecessarily replaced components. The moral is that wiring, especially on older vehicles, should always be checked before replacing expensive components.
