How to Open the Front Bonnet of a Volkswagen Tiguan

Open the driver's door; pull the lever located at the bottom left of the steering wheel, then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever upwards. Once the engine bonnet is unlocked, lift it upwards and secure it. Now that you have opened the engine bonnet, you can perform your necessary maintenance. To close the bonnet: remove the safety rod and let the bonnet fall down from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
