How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017
Part: Service warning light

To completely clear the Service light on the Volkswagen Polo instrument cluster, press and hold the left button located in the centre of the instrument cluster while it is off. While holding it down, insert the ignition key and turn it to activate the instrument cluster: once it is on, release the button and then press the 0.0/SET button next to it. Once this button is activated, the Service light will be reset: you can turn the instrument cluster off and back on to verify the reset.
