How to Reset the Climatronic on the Volkswagen Passat CC?

You can reset the Climatronic on the Volkswagen Passat CC by turning on the ignition so that you can use the controls on the central dashboard panel. Once the ignition is on, press and hold the ECON button and the button with the icon of an arrow pointing towards a person's face simultaneously. Doing this will cause the temperature indicators of the dual-zone climate control to turn black; after a few seconds, the indicators will revert to the previously set temperature, and the Climatronic will be reset to its default setting.
