How to Change the Wipers on the Volkswagen Golf

On the Volkswagen Golf, replacing the wipers is a straightforward task, but it requires some care to avoid "banging" the arm against the glass. Lift the wiper arm and position the blade comfortably to work on the central hook. Once you have the blade in hand, act on the small latch of the attachment: in the video, you can clearly see the release tab being pressed, and while holding it down, the blade is slid off the arm. The idea is not to yank it off but to guide it out following the direction of the attachment. Once the old blade is removed, take the replacement for the Volkswagen Golf and show the attachment before fitting it. The installation is the reverse: align the blade's fitting to the arm, slide it in until it clicks, and you should see/hear the tab return to position, indicating it is securely attached. Finally, gently lower the arm onto the windscreen and check that the blade remains firmly in place without any play.
