How to Replace the Touch Screen Display on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

To replace the touch screen display on a Volkswagen Golf, start by removing the trim around the screen: pry it off with a plastic spatula starting from the edges until you release the clips. Once the trim is removed, locate the screws securing the display and remove them with a Torx screwdriver. Carefully pull the display module outwards. At the back, disconnect the electrical connectors by pressing the safety tabs. At this point, you can completely remove the display. Connect the connectors to the new screen, insert it into the housing, screw in the securing screws, and reattach the trim by pressing until it clicks.
