How to Disable the Start/Stop System on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf 8, MK 8, Golf Viii - Years 2019-2026

To disable the Start/Stop system on a Volkswagen Golf 8, turn on the ignition and start the engine. On the central panel with the touch display, press the Start/Stop button marked with the letter "A" surrounded by an arrow, usually located at the bottom of the display or in the quick command bar. Pressing the button temporarily disables the system, and the indication of Start/Stop disabled will appear on the instrument cluster. Alternatively, you can access the Vehicle menu from the touch display, enter the Driving Settings section, and manage the assistance functions, although the Start/Stop will reactivate automatically with each new start of the vehicle. The deactivation remains valid only for the current driving cycle.
