How to Refit the Headlining on a Volkswagen Polo 6R

Refitting the headlining after replacing the fabric on a Volkswagen Polo 6R requires time and patience. Before inserting the headlining into the cabin, prepare the guiding cords (PVC tape) for all the electrical connectors that will pass through the headlining: front light, mirror, sun visor, etc. This will facilitate the passage of the cables. Insert the headlining into the cabin, taking care with the side plastics. Once positioned, thread the cables through their respective holes using the cords. Secure the headlining with the first screws (those for the front light). Then attach the rear of the headlining using the rear clip to hold it in place before proceeding with the rest. Refit the side plastics (A-pillars), ensuring they are carefully inserted into the seals to avoid water leaks. Adjust the seatbelt height adjuster, ensuring it clicks correctly. Refit the sun visors, handles, and interior light. The job is complex and requires attention to detail. If mistakes are made (e.g., fabric creases), it may be necessary to redo some parts. With patience, the result is satisfying.
