How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Passat?

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

From the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Passat, you can completely clear the Service light by holding down the button located at the bottom right of the panel while it is off. Continue to hold the button and insert the ignition key into the switch and turn it. At this point, the instrument panel will light up, and you can release the button to turn it clockwise. You will notice that the light has completely disappeared, and you can turn off the panel to finish the reset.
