How to Remove a Fog Light from a Volkswagen Touran 1T

To remove the fog light from a Volkswagen Touran, first remove the grille using a plastic tool, prying from one side and then the other. Once the grille is removed, you will see the fog light, which is held in place by Torx screws usually located at the sides of the lamp unit, which you will unscrew. After this, carefully pull the lamp towards you as it is still connected to the wiring; disconnect the electrical connector and at the back of the lamp unit, you will find the bulb holder that unlocks by turning it counterclockwise. If the new bulb is halogen, do not touch the bulb with your hands, as the oils from your skin can damage it. Reinsert the bulb into the lamp, reconnect the connector, reposition it in its housing, secure it with its Torx screws, and remount the outer grille, pressing firmly until you hear all the clips click into place.
