How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Passat?

Detailed instructions - To completely clear the Service light displayed on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Passat B8, you need to hold down the button marked "0.0" located in the centre of the instrument panel. While holding it down, turn the key to switch on the instrument panel: a message will appear on the menu asking if you want to confirm the Service reset. To confirm, press the button in the centre of the instrument panel again. Once the reset is done, you can verify the process is complete by turning off the instrument panel.
