To replace the headlight bulb on a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, open the bonnet and locate the rear of the affected headlight. Remove the protective cover located behind the headlight unit to access the bulb.

Disconnect the electrical connector and unclip the metal clip that holds it in position. Extract the burnt-out bulb and insert the new one in the same orientation, avoiding touching the glass.

Reattach the clip, reconnect the connector, and refit the protective cover. Close the bonnet and turn on the headlights to check proper operation.
