The YouTuber explains that two months prior, the driver's side bulb had blown, and the Volkswagen dealer had quoted him 1,200 rand (about £60) just for the replacement. He decided to do it himself: he purchased a set of socket screwdrivers and the bulb. Now the same problem occurs on the passenger side, and the author proceeds without any labour costs. The procedure involves opening the bonnet, removing the headlight protection cover, unscrewing the fixing screws of the headlight unit with a socket wrench (Allen type), extracting the headlight, removing the old blown bulb, inserting the new one, and reassembling everything in reverse order. The savings compared to a garage are substantial.
