To replace the rear light bulb on the Volkswagen Polo, you will need to open the rear hatch and detach the side trim of the boot corresponding to the specific light. Once this panel is removed, you can loosen the underlying nut to pull the light out of its housing, disconnecting the corresponding connector. At this point, the bulb can be extracted from inside the light unit to insert the new one; the light assembly can now be reconnected so that it can be secured again with its nut.
