Learn how to remove and replace the armrest compartment located above the central tunnel of a Volkswagen Golf. Position the armrest vertically; remove the side trim plastics, and use a socket to unscrew the fastening pins. Once the pin is removed, detach the armrest compartment from the central tunnel of the car. Unscrew the glove compartment on the tunnel with a screwdriver and remove the metal plate. Fit the new piece onto the tunnel and proceed with the rest of the assembly in reverse order.
