Oil and Filter Change on a Beetle

Changing the oil and filter on a Beetle? Follow this guide. Lift the car on a jack and undo the bolt of the oil sump; let the fluid drain into a container. Pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Use a strap spanner to undo the large oil filter. Remove the soundproofing panel of the engine to access the filter; extract the worn oil filter and position a new one. Finally, top up with new fluid and close the front bonnet.
