Replace the Gear Lever Gaiter on VW Golf 6

Want to change the gear gaiter on a VW Golf 6? Follow these steps. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame, then remove the metal clip. Take the gear knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. For reassembly: take the new knob and slide it onto the stick in the centre console, securing it in place; fit the new leather gaiter and secure it with the metal clip, then attach the plastic frame to the centre console. Check that all parts are correctly fitted.
