Remove Rear Stop Light on a VW Jetta

Are the bulbs in the rear light blown? Is the light unit due for replacement? Here’s how to remove it from a Jetta. Open the boot lid, then remove the plastic cap located on the side trim of the boot. Unscrew the plastic retaining screws of the rear light, pull it out from its housing, and disconnect the wiring connectors. Replace the damaged bulbs with new ones (same voltage) at hand. Refit the same light unit with the respective retaining nuts (or a new one), close the trim with the inspection cap. Check the operation.

How to Open a Stuck Boot on the Peugeot 407?
