Replacing the Brake Disc on a New Beetle

Are the front brake pads worn? Do you want to replace the disc? Here’s how to remove a disc on a New Beetle. Raise the car to a comfortable working height. Unscrew the pins using a socket wrench and remove the wheel. Next, start unscrewing the caliper pins to detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to remove the brake pads. Unscrew the disc retaining screws (remove it from the hub). Fit the new brake disc, the new brake pads with all the associated pins, tighten the caliper bracket to the disc, then refit the brake caliper, ensuring all pins are tightened properly. Before fitting the wheel, bleed the brake caliper. Test the brakes.
