Replacing Front Brake Discs on VW Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Are the front brake pads worn out? Here's how to remove them on a New Beetle. Lift the car to a comfortable height using a jack. Undo the bolts with a socket spanner and remove the wheel; start unscrewing the bolts of the brake caliper to detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to remove the brake pads (release the pressure on the caliper). Fit the new brake pads with all the associated bolts, tighten the caliper to the disc. Ensure all bolts are tightened properly. Before refitting the wheel, bleed the brake caliper. Refit the wheel and test the brake.
