Removing the Door Panel on Golf 4

Is the door panel on your Golf 4 due for replacement? Here’s how to remove it from the door. Disconnect the battery terminals if you need to cut any wires. Remove the courtesy light. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws located at the bottom of the panel. Remove the trim above the handle and the window winder. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands and unclip it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable). Fit the new panel, screw in the screws, and reattach the trim for the handle and window winder.
