Want to remove the door panel on a Golf? Let's look at removing the door panel from above the door. Pry with a plastic spatula around the cover of the internal handle on the door panel. Unscrew the screws inside the panel with a screwdriver, detach it from the door using a plastic spatula, and disconnect the door opening cable. Once the panel is free from the screws, pull it off with your hands. Carry out repairs inside the door or fit a new cover panel (if damaged). Secure the panel onto the door and refit the internal handle cover.
