Replacing the Fuel Filter on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012
Part: Diesel fuel filter

Open the bonnet to find the diesel filter housing on the left side of the engine. To open it, unscrew the six screws on top that seal the filter cover. There is no need to disconnect the attached pipes, so lift the cap without moving it, and wait a moment for any fuel to drain. Using a screwdriver or preferably a hook tool, lift the filter carefully, ensuring not to rotate it during extraction to avoid spilling any dirt residues that the filter has separated during its lifespan.
