Fuel Pump Replacement on a Passat

Replacing the fuel pump on a Passat? Let's see how to remove the pump. Open the rear door and remove the seat cushions. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the metal cap's securing screws, then remove it from its seat. Disconnect the electrical connector from the control module. Wrap the entire perimeter of the metal panel with absorbent paper, then use a chisel to unscrew the large securing pin. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the fuel pump from inside the tank. Install the new pump inside the tank using screws and electrical connectors.
