How to Code a New Key

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

If you need to code a new remote key (not yet functional) for your Volkswagen Golf, you will need a working key. First, take the old key (the working one) and insert it into the ignition, turning it to the first position (one click). Now insert the new key into the external lock and make a click to unlock it. Remove the old key from the ignition. At this point, the new key should be coded. To check its functionality, press the unlock and lock buttons on the remote.
