To replace the key shell of the Volkswagen Golf 7, press the button to extend the key, prying it from its housing. This will allow you to open the device, removing the battery and coding chip from inside, which need to be inserted into the new shell.

The new key must also be installed, which can be removed from the old remote by unscrewing the fixing screws. Once the key is secured to the remote, you can close it, ensuring it works correctly.
