How to remove the gear knob with the gaiter on a Golf 4? Let’s see how to disassemble the parts from above the centre tunnel. Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame, grasp the knob and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick (cut the plastic tie). Obtain the new knob and slide it onto the stick present on the centre tunnel, secure it with the metal tie, and push the leather gaiter down to the tunnel. Finally, test the correct installation of the knob by moving the stick on the centre tunnel. Fit suitable parts.
