In today's tutorial video, you will see how to remove the gear shift gaiter along with the knob of a seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf. First, get inside the car and remove the gear shift gaiter: to do this, pry up on the sides to detach it, as shown in the video. Next, remove the knob by cutting the metal clip that holds it in place: then, with considerable force, pull it upwards. For reassembly, you can insert the gear knob first and then the gaiter, or both at the same time.
