How to Replace the Thermostat on a Volkswagen Tiguan

Before you can begin, open the bonnet of your Volkswagen Tiguan. Start by removing the upper engine cover, then remove the entire air filter block. This will give you access to the faulty thermostat. Proceed by disconnecting the hoses connected to it, then disconnect the connector. Once the thermostat is free, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure it. After removing all the fixing bolts, you can extract the thermostat from the housing, completing the disassembly.
